Empowerment Quotes

Because Bitches Get Shit DONE!

Years ago, I came across a quote that stuck with me like glue. Back then, I was constantly pouring my time and energy into other people’s projects, leaving my own dreams on the back burner. Eventually, I had to learn one of the hardest (and most liberating) words in the English language: “No.” And once I started using it — and meaning it — everything changed.

Here’s the thing: people will ask you to do something simply because you can do it faster or better. But the only reason you can do it faster or better is because you were the one putting in the effort all along. Once I started putting myself, my education, my hobbies, and my goals first, the difference was incredible. The harsh truth? People will absolutely take advantage of you if you let them. Protect your time like your life depends on it — because your dreams do. I still help others, but only when I have the time, energy, and genuine desire to do so.

Why Bitchpreneur Exists

A WOMAN’S BEST PROTECTION IS A MONEY OF HER OWN

This quote right here? This is the heartbeat of Bitchpreneur.

I married young. While my husband climbed the career ladder, we agreed I would stay home and raise our family. Fourteen years. Four kids. My world revolved around the house and the children — and I didn’t think I’d ever regret that choice.

I trusted him completely. Naively. Blindly.

When the marriage fell apart, I was told — by him — that I didn’t need my own lawyer because I “couldn’t afford it.” I should just use his lawyer. And of course, I was assured, I didn’t need a judge to award alimony because he would “make sure I had the means” to get on my feet.

Spoiler: That was just another lie. The “help” I was given? It broke me. I wasn’t given a dime. Not one that didn’t cost me dearly, anyway. That story will be coming out soon enough.

Why on earth would the same man who shattered our marriage turn around and help me rebuild my life? He didn’t. I was left with nothing but rage, betrayal, and a sinking hopelessness that clung to me for years.

But here’s the thing about being burned to the ground — if you’re smart, you rise back up sharper than you were before.

That experience lit a fire in me to help other stay-at-home mothers never end up in the position I was in — powerless because they had no income of their own. And it’s not just about mothers. It’s for anyone starting from zero. Anyone who needs hope, a plan, and a push to take back control.

Whether you’re a stay-at-home parent, someone who didn’t go to college, or a person with a disability who can’t work outside the home — you need your own income stream(s). Because “Happily Ever After” doesn’t always last.

No matter your background, you have skills and talents that someone, somewhere, will pay to learn from you. And there are more ways than ever to make money from home.

Bitchpreneur exists to share those ways. To arm you with knowledge, strategies, and the kind of no-bullshit encouragement I wish someone had given me when I was starting over.

You’ve got more power than you realize. I’m here to make damn sure you use it.
